Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about membership, programs and how we work.

Who can join AusPak Women Association?

Any Pakistani woman living in Australia is welcome — newly arrived, long-settled, students, professionals or homemakers. Allies are also welcome to attend public events.

Is membership free?

Yes. All AusPak programs and events are free for members. Donations are optional and help us run our programs.

How do I find my local chapter?

We currently have chapters in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Visit the Chapters page to find your nearest one, or contact us if you live elsewhere — we'll connect you with the closest community.

Do you offer counselling?

We don't provide clinical counselling ourselves, but our trained volunteers can listen, support and refer you to licensed Pakistani-Australian and bilingual counsellors and Lifeline.

Can men or non-Pakistani women support AusPak?

Absolutely. Many of our programs welcome family members, allies and corporate partners. See the Get Involved page for details.

How can I start a chapter in my city?

Email us through the Contact page with your city and a short note about yourself. We'll guide you through the volunteer leadership process.
